Microchannelling

Less invasive than microneedling and better longer lasting results

Microchannelling is a somewhat new technique that is often referred to as the new and improved microneedling.   Microchanneling is a non-invasive skin treatment procedure which uses a precise stamping method to penetrate the skin.

Collagen and elastin decrease in your skin starting as early as your 30’s.  Microchannelling increases the collagen and elastin in your skin, which will enhance and rejuvenate your skin.

FAQ about Microchanneling

How long does Microchanneling last?

Results of Microchanneling can last between 2-10 years!  This all depends on your lifestyle and age.  What you use at home makes a difference as well.  We recommend yearly treatments to maintain best results.

How much downtime will I have?

Right after your treatment your face will be red.  This can be a slight redness to a deeper redness.  This redness usually clears up in 4 to 24 hours.  In some cases it can take up to 72 hours.

Micro channeling has become a popular treatment for those who are looking to treat stretch marks, acne scars, and other types of skin imperfections. This method has become the go-to for its safety and effective technique in creating healthier skin when it comes to nonsurgical facial rejuvenation treatments.

Who can't get Microchanneling?

  • Anyone that suffers from a serious immune issue

  • Has uncontrolled diabetes

  • Has hemophilia or similar blood disorder

  • If you are currently undergoing radiation or chemotherapy treatments

When will I see results?

Noticeable improvement can be seen about 5 weeks after your treatment.  Most people will see an improvement in the quality and appearance of your skin in about 24 hours.  Don't be discouraged at this point if you don't notice a change (the change will be slight so some people don't notice it), it will come!!  After your 2nd or 3rd treatment your will have a more noticeable improvement in your skin.  For people with scarring, laxity and deeper wrinkles more treatments are generally required.  (Pictures are important so that you can see the changes in your skin!)  Your esthetician will take a before picture and one directly after the treatment.

When you use microchanneling for hair regrowth it typically takes 2 weeks to notice a regrowth, and after 5 weeks you should also have a noticeable improvement!

Microchanneling After Care

Here is a list of things you will need to do after a Microchanneling session.  It is important to follow your aftercare instructions to get the best results.

  • Only use the Procell serums for the next 24 hours.  Do not apply anything else to your skin as the pores are all still open.

  • It is important to not touch the area treated with your hands or anything else for at least 90 minutes after your treatment.  Sorry this means cell phones too!

  • Avoid direct sunlight for 24 hours after treatment. You may apply sunscreen the following day.

  • You can start your normal skin care routine 24 hours after treatment.

  • Continue to use the Process serums.  Use the Procell serum before moisturizer after cleansing your face daily until it’s gone.

  • Refrain from using AHA/retinol product for 2 weeks after treatment.

  • Drink lots of water.

  • Your skin will start to rejuvenate, so expect some dryness and possibly peeling.

  • Keep your skin moisturized.  This is very important!

  • Acne can appear after a treatment, this is normal and it will subside.
